Order the garlic chive flower: so fresh, I saw them processing the fresh greens. All the dim sum makes me so happy. This is my FAVE birthday restaurant. Def get the pan fried radish cake and heck come with a big group and order the whole damn entire dim sum menu to share. It will not break the bank. We come here every year for a Chinese New Year feast and to watch the dragon dance and hear the firecrackers.
All the dishes we tried were well prepared arrived to the table, piping hot, generous servings. The dim sum was fabulous. The service was wonderful We would go again.
After seeing so many people arguing over Real Wok in Lantana (N. Military & Hypoluxo), figured I'd go back for some Dim Sum today with my daughter. At 1:30 there were about 10 tables occupied. They aren't serving from carts, but that's OK. Overall, it has the feel of a NY Chinatown restaurant. Tom, the waiter, is affable and always remembers you if you've been there before. Har Kow, Shumai, Sticky Rice, pan fried Dumplings, Hong Kong Wonton noodle soup, and a few other dishes. I don't expect it to be NY, SF, Seattle (has an amazing CT) or Shanghai, but it's darn good for a place in the middle of PBC. New owners are nice (3 months). Remember, my opinion is just my opinion, but I've eaten my fair share of Chinese over my 64 years, all over the world. Real Wok is a strong 8.
We have been a few times and it is always the best tasting Chinese food we've ever gotten in this area. However, the food is not consistent. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it is just good. The soups are great but today the thick crispy noodles served with were stale. The steamed dumplings are meaty and delicious and the dipping sauce is great. The pork fried rice is our favorite dish - but it does vary from time to time. The service is very efficient and our meal is served with hot tea. It's a nice enough restaurant to dine-in but it seems that much of its business is take out. Anyway, we've had so many disappointing experiences in other restaurants that we were glad to discover this place!
I've had my eye on this dim sum spot in Lake Worth for a while. Coming from Los Angeles, where dim sum is an art form, I've learned to keep my expectations in check, especially in areas with a smaller Asian population. Initially, I hesitated to visit due to the low ratings, but I'm thrilled to report that this place exceeded my expectations! For the price, quality, and location, the dim sum here is quite impressive--though it may not rival Din Tai Fung or Capital Seafood (in Cali), it offers a uniquely Floridian twist that makes it stand out. The service was another highlight; our server was not only attentive but also had a great sense of humor that added to the overall experience. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: Siu Mai: 4.5/5 - Juicy and flavorful, these dumplings hit the spot. Turnip Cake: 5/5 - Absolutely the star of the meal! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; I could eat these all day. Spare Ribs: 4.5/5 - Tender and delicious, these delivered a nice punch of flavor. Chinese Doughnut with Rice: 4/5 - A delightful twist on a classic, crispy and satisfying. TBH, this was my fav, unfortunately, It was missing the peanut butter sauce =/ Overall, I'd recommend giving this dim sum spot a try if you're in the area. It's a tasty gem that provides solid fare at a great value, and who knows--you might just find your new favorite dish!
We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the south Florida area, and we finally have found it. Real Wok is by far the best the best we have eaten in. Coming from New York, we crave Chinese food, and it had been the one type of food we could never enjoy. The restaurant is very big with a lot of space between tables. We ordered soup, which was very tasty and egg rolls, which was actually the size an egg roll should be. Our dishes were large and very flavorful. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. Hello Real Wok! Thank you for bringing chinese food back to me when I am in Fla!
Real Wok is the realest wok. We have been here a handful of times now and consistently have had the most fresh and most authentic Chinese food every time. They also have kind service, the ambiance is simple with lots of tables in the restaurant, and they have a delicious menu for every pallette. By far, our favorite dim sum spot! Fresh dim sum, fresh noodles, fresh fried rice, fresh entrees, and fresh vegetables. 10/10 highly recommend for a hands-down, delicious night out.
